Spyware is a terribly annoying type of software to get lodged in your computer through the Internet. In its very nature – spyware is destructive, intrusive and potentially harmful to your personal well being. It works in many varying ways, most of which are invisible to us, the innocent Internet & PC user.
Spyware is basically a program or computer virus which embeds itself on the victims’ PC and then promptly causes absolute havoc with the victim’s PC. It does this by simply installing itself without the user’s consent and then does many different things to the computer.
The most prominent and visible consequence to spyware infiltration on a computer is the installation of toolbars and other annoying software, which are both incredibly annoying and can cause harm to the computer. These toolbars often are branded with an obscure site which, if the user types in any details, forwards them to a third party scam site.
The name “Spyware” is derived from what the software used to just do: sit on a victim’s PC and proceed in processing all personal information the user would type. This information would then be passed through the Internet to either the author of the Spyware or a “hacking group” which would then use the information to try and commit fraud or even steal money from the victim.
No matter what Spyware does to a personal computer, the end result is always an effect that the user did NOT want to happen – and did not solicit to happen. This means that detecting spyware is a MUST for anyone who uses the Internet.

Closing all programs except for the spyware removal tool will give the software the required resources which it needs to detect the spyware.
When you’ve closed all programs apart from the spyware removal tool, you then need to set the tool to scan all of your data storage facilities, including hard drives and USB drives. This will give the spyware detection software a motive – to go and look in all of your drives.
You just then need to hit “search” or “scan” or whatever the “go” button is and then simply leave the detection software to do its stuff. Because you’ve closed all other programs that might be using your memory or processing power, the spyware detection software can then use as much resources as it wants in order to achieve a quick scan.
Of course, all of this depends on how much data you have on your computer – because that’s how much stuff your spyware detection software has got to search through.
